Described as "putty-liscious gray", Waking Up In Vegas is a warmer version of grey. The super chic color is midway between grey and beige, making it very wearable for all skin tones. A hip and fashionable color, but still remains very wearable for the office.
A very pigmented crème, the color applied nice and opaque. I did end up using 3 coats, but that's because my nail ridges were driving me crazy. I was working hard to cover them, trying to carefully apply even coats. As you can see from the pictures, the ridges on my nails became very visible after application.
Waking Up In Vegas dries fast. So I'm not convinced all the lines on my nails are ridges, but maybe some are partially due to brush strokes as well.
I'm also showing you the color without any top coat. One, being that it really didn't need it since it dried quickly. But mainly because I wanted to show you the true nature of the finish. It's not glossy and it's not matte. It's best described as a satin finish. It took me a bit to get used to, but I ended up wearing it as is. If this is a look you're not used to, then go ahead and slap on some glossy top coat. It will still look beautiful and amazing! Plus, it will take care of those ridges.
Waking Up In Vegas is such a beautiful neutral color that I'd say it's a must for any collection.
It almost looks like a whiter version of OPI's I Vant to be a Lone Star.
ReplyDeletePretty color regardless.
That is a pretty OPI color I don't have. IVTBALS is also a bit shimmery, right?
DeleteA tad, it seems like a bit more metallically, but not quite metallic. I don't think it's Satin though.
DeleteThank you!
ReplyDeletei thought this was gonna be a nude by the first pic, but it pulls really grey! it's still really pretty though, looks like a great palate cleansing color!
